A couple of tractors that I have drug home and saved from being parted recently. A MTD 990 and a Gilson S15 (badged as a Wards).
Both are cast iron Briggs powered and both are shaft driven hydro tractors.
Its interesting to know that they drive from different sides of the engines. The 990 drives the tractor off the PTO side of the driveshaft, while the Gilson drives the tractor off the flywheel side of the engine.

I really like the 990's. They are a really stout tractor and have the 3 point hitch. Is that a 16 hp?
This one is rated at 16hp but from the beginning they all used the same top of the line 32 c.i. cast iron Briggs.
The rating just increased from 14 to 15 and then finally 16hp thru the years.

The 990 when I brought it home a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks Dac.
I do have an affliction for needing to save the ones slipping thru the cracks lol.
But both of these tractors run and drive beautifully (now).

What I really need right now are the lift link arms.
The arms that run back and lift the 3 point lift arms.
Somebody hacked these beyond reasonable repair.
Is this the hitch you have? If so, I made the parts similar to these for Alice a while back.

Kenny my draft arms are the earlier different versions.
But the turn buckle halves are what I need for each side. I can make some up if needed but I would love to have the correct originals.
