We had some high winds last week so I finally got a chance to pick up the twigs and a few branches up. I always break the twigs up and use them for fire starters in the shop. I usually keep a couple of 55 gallon trash cans full.

I left a coal bucket of ashes outside to cool off and forgot about it. It rained hard the other day and I had to spread it all out to dry. Some of the wood I burned had a few nails so I dragged a magnet through the ashes.

Just a few nails Jim. Hehe.

Well I emptied out last years stack of firewood. I loaded three dolly loads and piled that up in the shop. This will be plenty, I have a good start on wood for this winter but need to cut another tree to be enough.

My grass sure is getting green! But no where near needing a trim. Probably not till into April.

This week weather took a turn for the worse. 15 to 20 below normal for this time of year. But oddly enough this week last year we got 4” of snow!

we float around so much this time of year it’s not funny. Shorts and t shirts one day. Winter coats the next.

Got my grass cut for the first time this year. I packed up the atv like a rescue unit with jump starter, gas, and an air tank. I used the Simplicity 3415H and it ran flawlessly. I really like this tire combo. I feel like I need some rear weights though. It wants to lean a little more than my others forcing me to have to shift my weight too much. I’m not sure but I’m going to check the manual to see if I can pull the hubs out a little for a wider stance.

I had to stop and have a little mid day snack on the back porch.
