done ebay wont do it anymore
don't want to deal with boxing and shipping

Sold my Limo on ebay took the guy 2 months to pick it up

ebay is too greedy, they keep too much of the proceeds... I know I wont ever sell there again unless they change their ways back to how they were back in the original days of Ebay. sold $55 worth of stuff (plus shipping fees, that's not included) in 3 separate auctions, after they were done slicing and dicing I wound up with $33 of that.... cost me 40 of what the items sold for for the "privilege" of selling there. No thanks.
the 169 looks like it has at least a seat pan though you say it don't.... I think I have an extra one from a 129. somewhere

ebay and paypal only take 13%, small price to pay for world wide advertising and instant payment, much safer than Craigslist at least you know who's coming. I have no problem paying the 13%, I factor it into the price

It depends on what category that you are working in.

What you say is also if everything goes right with every sale. It don't.
I was at one time a top rated Ebay power seller with a Ebay store and a verified Pay Pal business account. I still have the framable certificates that they sent me over the years to prove it. They used to send me a quarterly magazine and a couple of times a year they would have someone call me to see how my business was going with them and to ask for suggestions.
All their lip service was well and good but the on the ground practices not so much.
I got tired of taking it in the end.
I dropped Ebay and Pay Pal and never looked back.
I used to spend hours on the site everyday.
When I dropped them I went cold Turkey. If I look at the site once a year for 5 minutes that's it,if at all.
I do not even think of them as a place to buy or sell anymore.
In conclusion I'm with DT here.

Update

well then how did they wind up with 40% of my proceeds the last time I sold on there?
I will say it has been 10+ years since I sold there, I said I wouldn't again after that as I was too PO'd….
I haven't looked at their terms lately but they used to charge more if you put in more than 2 pix, an extra charge for a buy it now, charged more depending on starting price, a fee for having a reserve, a fee for everything.... and then their final value fees on top of that. I have bought a bunch off of there since, but haven't sold. at 13% I would have bene happy, that would have been 1/3 of what they stuck me for at that time.
Prior to that at one time I found myself with a BUNCH of Sears/Roper stuff that I sold on there and I thought they weren't too bad with their charges.... but then every time I turned around they were modifying their rules and fees and stuff, that's when I said "to He11 with them" for sales.
then when they MANDATED that all transactions be done via Paypal that was another strike against them. I had bought something that was close enough to drive over and pick up, and paid cash at pickup. just to have a "case" started against me because Paypal had no record of my ever having paid for it, had to get ahold of the seller and have them write a letter saying all was OK.... and the seller too was surprised that Ebay/Paypal had done such a thing.

I highly doubt they took 40%
