Chainsaw mill ?

Has anyone actually bought and tried the chainsaw mill kits? Are they a joke or can you actually make decent lumber out of them?

I see a lot of them being used on YouTube and guys building their own. It looks like a very slow process to me. I’m sure it would take a lot of chain sharpening too.

We have an Alaskan mill and it works good for us. We use it to cut down logs that are too large of diameter to fit on our bandsaw mill. I have a few videos here.

Use a 10* ripping chain for cutting with the grain, that will last longer.
