Cheap Weedwhips

I hate to admit it but old age and poor upper body strength have reduced me to using the smaller battery powered weed whips. The Black and Decker ones I'm resigned to using last about two years if I'm lucky. By the time the battery no longer takes a lasting charge "they" change the design and I have to get a whole new unit. Talk about a disposable society....rant over!
You could always put a strap on the unit, they obviously are going to aggravate vintage muscles cuz we tend to lean forward with the weight supported on our lower back….
I have the B&D 40V weedwacker for a few years now….only issue was it quit and a wire had broken loose from the motor…it was so obvious that i could see the issue. Soldered it back together.

Carolyn has an electric line trimmer made by Ryobi. Is just the right length for her, has 2 extra batteries and loves it. I still have my Stihl 4 cycle dual line gas powered unit. I use the strap with mine all the time and makes it much easier to handle. Also have the strap attaching point set to the uni9t is balanced and not heavy on one end. This takes a lot of the work out of it.
