It might get an extension added to it for some uses, to make it a bit "taller". Probably something like you may have done , Kenny!I have one of those. Made a base similar to an engine hoist, just not as heavy duty. Works great for the GT's!
That's a good point Don! Better re-think that!Most boat trailer winches only ratchet in one direction making it dangerous to lower a load that can free fall. If you lose your grip the handle can slap you several times very quickly.

You can get them to ratchet both both ways, the one I have on my trailer does. Its from Princess Auto though. Just make sure the description says reversible.That's a good point Don! Better re-think that!
