Christmas crane

My wife and kids went together and got me a pickup box crane! Plan on mounting it on a receiver plate and mounting it on the trailer, possibly use it on the MF 1450 3 point too.

Very good!! Now just mount a rigid pulley on the end and a boat winch near the base and then you can make straight picks instead of arcing picks.

I have one of those. Made a base similar to an engine hoist, just not as heavy duty. Works great for the GT's!

I have the stuff to do that too! I might try to set it up to go either way!

It might get an extension added to it for some uses, to make it a bit "taller". Probably something like you may have done , Kenny!

Most boat trailer winches only ratchet in one direction making it dangerous to lower a load that can free fall. If you lose your grip the handle can slap you several times very quickly.

I want to find one of the 3 point boom lifts like Ford had way back when. Want a 1 bottom 3 point plow too. May but a boom on the front bucket but need to get the spool valves rebuilt first.

Use this type and it's self braking in both directions. Should be able to find a used one for cheap. Even if you have to buy a new one it's cheaper than getting a smashed foot.

You can get them to ratchet both both ways, the one I have on my trailer does. Its from Princess Auto though. Just make sure the description says reversible.

Don't remember where the one I have came from but it won't ratchet both ways. Just went and checked. Oh well, have to keep an eye out for another one that won't kill or maim someone!

Light weight HF 12V winch with remote might be a good investment. Would be able to control the lifted item and raise/lower at the same time. Just a thought. The one I have on my trailer is power in and out, but can be unlocked to free wheel out.
