Did you guys know that tractors can FLY and real high too!!!

I tried to get $125 for an engineless Cub 1650 and never got a single inquiry on it not even an idiot lowball offer like I usually get.
so it will donate its hydro lift and all of its related goodies to my 129 which is not going anywhere. Those parts are worth more than what I was trying to get for the whole thing..... I've seen idiots asking that much for just a hood or just a rear end out of one.... the rear end isn't that out of line I guess but asking that much for a hood..... no way. If it didn't come to me with so much missing, it wouldn't be a "parts" machine. I tried to find a narrow base 14-16HP Kohler and seen one for $300 in pieces, another for $650 out of Calif that the seller thought I'd jump on sight unseen and that didn't include shipping cost either..... No way. claimed low hour but how am I supposed to verify that? so yeah "that" one will be parts.

Right now I have 2 guys pretty interested in it and we are looking at $250 with out me touching it,One guy is a collector the other is a puller.I started messing with it yesterday ,Got it to spin over nice and it has good compression ,I had to dig up a coil for it as the coil was missing,Cleaned the points and made sure they moved but thats as far as I got with it,Maybe get it to fire up tomorrow,I dont know for sure if I will sell it but I figured running it would be better for me to sell or keep

Have a little update on the cub 100.I finally got back to messin with it and got good spark I checked the oil which looks like new and gave it a shot of gas through the front of the carb and she fired right up and runs pretty good,You can keep it running as long as you keep adding gas through the carb. I dont think that is to bad since the guy who owned it said it had bee at least 20 years since it last ran and it had been sitting outside for lots of years .I think the governor needs adjustment but not much.I know the trans is good because I forgot to take it out of gear and it was going to walk off the lift table,And I found out the clutch petal is froze,I learned all this in about 2 seconds and got it out of gear. But at least I can show a potential buyer it will run!

Glad to hear the old girl fire up and moved. Some of the asking prices on FB up hear are out right stupid. "Antique" Bolens 800 w/tiller run, $900. One out in NE, Bolens Medium Frame with deck, look nice, $7000. On to many 0 on that one.

Well the cub 100 is off to total restoration by a friend of mine who wanted her for a winter project to add to his collection,I let him have it for $175 and he was happy as it gets,Plans are for a total rebuild and restore to the last nut and bolt and he does some real good work,Im more than happy with the amount of $$$ as I got it for free and I am glad it will be saved ,He is happy to have it,And above all my wife is glad its one less tractor(She has drew a line in the sand on that subject and I am still 2 tractors over the line;)

:eek:And just how do you know that???

I have the best deal going. My dad is into tractors as well. So. We get a new tractor....my wife asks me if its mine or my dads. I just say my dads. My mom asks my dad if its his or mine. He says it mine.

We keep them confused so they really don't know who has what or whats where! It works out great.....
