Farmall A stuck in gear

We use to have a problem with our A getting stuck in gear. You had to be very deliberate when changing gears because the shift rails were worn out. I got a good used cover which fixed the problem.
With the cover off move all of the gears to neutral position. Make sure the cover/shifter is also in neutral and carefully set it back on making sure all of the shift forks slide it to the grooves in the gears. Tighten it down and you should be good to go.
