Who all is ready to get the garden ready for planting? To get the toys out and play. My garden gives a play area for the tractor. And the food produced offsets the cost of the collection.

I do not do gardening but do take the 67 JD 112 with tiller attach to my elderly neighbors and do their garden for them. Get to help them while having a little playtime.

That is the fun part of a garden. Sitting on a seat and enjoying the tractor. But you are also helping others!

And our garden is plowed for the first time. The plow still needs some setup yet. But we rolled some dirt

It was finished long before JR had enough.

I am hoping to try out the disc this weekend. The little Sears got stretched wider to cover the tire tracks. This leaves a gap in the middle so we will need to do over lapping passes. Hoping that will be enough to give the seed bed we like.

The disc did not work as planned. That is an idea to be revisited later. Last night we ran the tiller through to quick get it ready for planting.

I made my disc wider by adding another on each side. Bought the new discs from Brinly.

And after making it a 3-point hitch.

Looks good, nice to see the boys out there helping and picking up skills
in life needed to survive but yet we do not teach in our schools. Thanks for sharing.

Looks good Eric. We haven't done a garden at the house for a few years now. Dad did just get two planter boxes though.

I was thinking it would take a new frame to mount the gangs on. Thanks for sharing how you did yours Kenny.

We got some of the garden planted last two evenings. Beans, peas, and potatoes. We got 3 kinds of potatoes just for something different.

When I planted the area Jr tilled, I found that he was getting down a good 8". Nice fluffy seed bed to plant in.

Plants are popping up and looking healthy despite being in a bog. Was hoping to get more planted but it is too muddy to try.

Got the beans mulched with grass clippings.


And a week's change.
Taters are slowly getting there also. About half done with hilling and mulching.
