Gathering some more wood!

Aaron was bringing in some wood and told me to get any small stuff I wanted. Got the 316 and Stihl out to cut wood. The tractor kept eying this piece, but I think it's too big.


I ended up with this before my back gave out. Too much work in the last two days!

Thats funny I get wood from a couple friends and thats what it looks like for me also. Hey, cant complain on my side its free.

I would have to get that big trunk home. Use a come along. Turn it upside down at home and use as outdoor table until I decide to break it up

I go down on my knees for most cutting. Saves the back.
Shoveled off woodshed this am since winter far from over. Usually once a season for south side of my buildings

I’m getting down. Enough till end of March maybe. But I have some outside.
Have not been out doin any wood this winter. Normally I have some cut by now for next year. My reserve is going to take a hit this year and I will have to play catch up.

If that was me, when the tree started to fall; I wouldn't be able to get up and out of the way fast enough.

One question Noel. I see you have a mower deck hanging on the wall. It looks like a very good place to store it but how did you get it up there.

That deck is for a LTX11 Jacobsen, Charlie. It was put there many years ago. At least 10 or more years ago. I was younger and I have a son. So we lifted it up there. He owns the Jacobsen tractor, was the first tractor we got and started us into this hobby. He was 12 at the time. He's 29 now. Was/is a great tractor. Some day he will get it going again. It still works, but has not been used.
He painted it racing black.
