Thought maybe we should have a homemade attachment thread......

I have built a few things over the years. I had pics of their assembly, but due to a computer crash, lost most of them. But here are a few things I have built.

Mid grader blade

Tow behind mower..

Brush mower 020 (Medium).jpg

Hill mower...

Front bucket...

Well done they look good. Would love to see a few close ups of the front bucket set up.

I had pics building it, but my computer crashed...Basically, its built from scrap metal I had around. The bucket is an old blade with a bit of steel shelving on the bottom. It lifts with the hydraulic lift for the deck. There is a trip mechanism to tip bucket. To close it you set bucket on ground and back up. I will try and get a few more pics soon.

I really like that mid mount blade.

It's just an old blade that I cut in half. It swivels either way. Funny thing is, it works better backing up than forward. Someone said I should have built it with the support arms going to the back, would dig in better that way. Might be redesigning it.

The hill mower works good, but isn't quite wide enough. I have an old 38 inch deck that I am going to mess with and try and mount an engine on it. The trick is not to make it too heavy that you can't push it up the hill.

When you get to that 38" deck try going with 10 or 12" wheels. Makes a world of difference on easing up the pushing effort.

You're probably right, but the wheels also have to swivel. I am using 6" casters on the small one, will have to see if I can find something larger.

Nice looking equipment. Lot of those tow behind mowers around but I often wondered how they pick up those tire track with the weight of the tractor pushing the grass down. Have to use a high lift blade? I have pick up problems if I hit a wet spot with a center deck.

You run 2 cycle motors on that bank mower? Looks like a good place for a Lawn Boy.

4 cycle B&S....I was a bit concerned with the oil sloshing away from the crank etc, but its only on the slope a few seconds at a time then down on the flat again.
The tow behind, I built a few years ago, was not impressed how it worked so took it apart again...lol

My drag harrow I made a year ago. About to do some work on it to use it on the farmall cub so I can use it lift so I don't have to get off to clean it out.

I was thinking the same thing with my harrows. I use it for smoothing the gravel driveway. Would be nice to be able to lift it with the rear lift.

I have one section of those diamond harrows I might use more if I could lift them but since I cant I only use them in the garden, on the driveway I use two sections of spring tines, 5 rows of 16 springs each so 80 tines at 10' width, angle is adjusted back a bit so I can drive across the grass without making a mess.

Counterweight box made for category 0 3 points hitch which I also made an adapter to install on my JD 214. I can put whatever I have laying around, most of the time I use the concrete slabs that we use as walk ways in the garden

Also I made an adapter to install my custom engine hoist on my 3 points hitch, it also has a 2"x5/8" receiver for the draw bars I use on my cars. The draw bar you see in the last picture has a welded bolt on which I screw the ball of the size I want. The engine hoist will also fit in receivers at all 4 corners of the trailer I will build "soon", it's made to be able to rotate on the main shaft (round tube on square) with a locking bolt when used on the standalone base or on the tractor.

Sadly the engine hoist is already too heavy for the 1655's hydraulic, it struggles lifting it therefore I must lock the 3 points with chains or rest it on something. It is still quite useful!
