I wish I had those tools when I was younger. I used to change my 4 wheeler tires by jacking up dads truck and dropping it on the side of the tire. Then I'd use a couple big screw drivers to flip it off.

Getting them on I'd sit the tires in the sun all day to soften and use soapy water and screw drivers again.

The pneumatic ones are awesome, hook it on the rim, hit the pedal and go! We had them in the service, great for changing tires in the field.

Thanks Larry, I should get one of them someday! Been lucky enough to break a bead and add a tube, but never had to do a complete dismount yet.

This makes it much easier to break the beads even on Big tires and ones that have been on the rims for years and filled with slime and for those rims that won't come off the axles. Good suggestions have been made about sealing the new tire beads, I'll be trying them when I get to it.
