Finally I fixed the screen door, on the patio door. Always fightin with the cats over the years to keep them in. Not out door cats. So a few weeks a go, decided to make a handle, so that when I went outside I could latch it so the cat can’t open it. The door has a lock, which was fine for indoors, but if you went out, no way to secure it to keep cat from opening. So, some stuff/junk from the garage and this is what I came up with. Works good. Will have to do a test run with the cat yet, but it’s lookin good.
Why didn’t I think of this many many years ago ?????

I gave up on screen doors with cats.. They shredded my screen to often. Nice fix.

No cats in this house. Don't even like the stinking things in the garage but have to put up with it or Duke would kill them. Granddaughter loves the one and we just put up with the old worthless tom.

And who knows, the cat could out live me. And did a test tonite and it worked well so far. The cat didn’t git out . I believe I have outsmarted the cat !!!! What ????

Yah I've heard that song before. Even heard it here from the Wife. Guess who brought home the dog that's setting on the back of my recliner at this moment.

My parents said the same thing. They have 2 newer cats and their dog is 14 years old. I bet when the dog goes they end up with another

Our last dog left us 3 or 4 years ago. Not gotten another and don't "plan" to, but if we do, I'll likely be the guilty party. All we have is "Momma Kitty", and after the flea infestation she is banished from the house. Flea battle finally won! If it's a bitter winter, she can come in BUT she has to be heavily treated for fleas ahead of time and duration of her stay. SO much easier going somewhere without worrying with pets!
