Installed the snowcaster on the 73 PK

Well that’s about the same distance as my two casters Gary. I guess that’s the way they are. I really believe that the trouble with them not throwing far is the chute open is to big. It’s 8”. All my other ones are 6”. My John Deere 140H3 tractors thrower, model 49 I believe, is basically made the same as the Case casters and it throws better than the casters. And it’s only a 6” chute opening.

Noel
Hey Noel it looks like were both getting the same performance, it does move snow good and for the average driveway that would be good enough. Its 10*F here this morning I'm not in a big hurry to get out side this morning hows your weather

Sunny and cool today. Light wind today Gary. Ya at 4’ they can move a lot of snow. But like you say good for a narrow driveway. I have places in my driveway that I have to throw it three times to get it all of the driveway.
Have a good day Gary.

Yes I did lengthen the chute. It might have increased the distance as it helped keep the snow from spreading out as much. I used a piece of plastic cut from the side of a 55 gallon barrel.
The tractor in my photo found a new home today. My Son is now the proud owner. It blew a lot of snow with very little upkeep. I hope it will serve him well. I don't think I used it in the last two years. The JD tractor took over the snow removal duties.

Hi Chris thanks for the reply and that makes sense and is probably why Noel's JD blower with a 6" chute vs Case's 8" chute does some what better
