JD 317 transmission repair help

Thank you for reply, I assume you mean oil on both surfaces.

Also, am I correct that as I tighten this will come together? (Issue in 1st video)
Yes, I edited my reply to "oil". And yes, it will come together as you tighten as these springs are pretty strong. But be very careful to tighten evenly to keep it on an even plane as you go.

Well, IT'S DONE!!!! I didn't get any video or pics as my brother was here and we just hammered it out. Ran into ONE problem, I over tightened one bolt to the point I think I stripped it :( BUT, luckily we haven't seen any leaks from the gasket. If it does leak from that corner it is one of the bolts that can go all the way through so I will pull it and install a longer one with a nut on the back. But let's cross our fingers.

I also had installed the hydro cut off switch from Auxillary hydraulics two years ago. I will be honest, it has been nothing but a hassle. The hoses never routed correctly, the fittings were never at the right angles and it all leaked. Well, I went to my local hydro place and they hooked me up with some great advice and parts and now it works flawlessly!!!

Next step....nothing, I want to use! But, I will replace the hoses on the plow as they leak at the connection point.
