JD mower deck

How do I fix this?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Save the bearings if there at all usable and scrap the rest as painful as that is to say.

The deck on my JD 140 was made out of an household oil barrel, by the previous owner. I guess the deck rusted out, so he took off all the necessary hardware, bent up a new deck shell in two pieces and welded them together, then remounted all the hardware. Works perfect.

A friend of mine knows a guy who has a Cub Cadet with a stainless steel deck. He got tired of fixing it and solved the problem. I have yet to see it since it is somewhere in KY.

At one time I think JD offered a unit that mounted over the rusted deck and I think you welded it in place. OR Ive lost the last part of my memory.
