Dads pressure washer has been sitting in the shop for about 5 years since the last time it was used. My brother has been working on a couple pressure washers that he has and thought he might as well try to get this one going again. It ran when parked ;) but sitting that long the carb got gummed up. Ran the carb through the sonic cleaner and then hit it with glass beads. Painted it black again and my brother put it back together. Installed it today and gave it a try. It now runs again. Now to change the oil in the engine and pump. We were a little worried about the pump because it didn't get winterized the last time it was used but has been in the shop ever since. Seems to still build pressure but we will stick a gauge on it to see how much. Hopefully the pump is still OK.

Rated at 2000 psi and I think around 4 GPM.
Boy I've never thought that by the looks of the pump and a 11 hp motor. And 4 gpm are usually larger units. I honestly think that pumps is bigger than that seeing there's a bypass hose on it and just the general size.
Today's 3400 psi washers are 6 hp and around 2.5 gpm.

I can't find the manual right now but did find a pic of the specs page from the manual that I had on the old computer. This is the right-hand column for the 225G. It lists the pump as 2400 PSI and 5 GPM and 4.4 GPM at the nozzle.

I agree with Chris. With that amount of needed water it should be really good.
By comparison I always think of pressure washers like sandblasters...water being the sand.. All the air in the world and without sand don't do crap...
