John Deere Garden Tractor

Wants $200/OBO
Would this be a good tractor? I don't know about them. I thought about offering $100.
He just texted me back & told me to make him a good offer. It's only a few miles from me.

I personally would pick it up if you want a project. I don't personally have experience with that particular model, but hey its a John Deere so parts will be expensive but it should be a good tractor once you fix it up. It looks to be in good shape considering its was made anywhere from early 80s to early 90s.

Locally I'd say if you picked that up for 100 to 200, fixed it up you could probably stand to make a few bucks reselling it in the spring.

A 318 for $200?

You need to grab that. If you can't fix the engine, the parts are worth more than 2 bills.

Big thing with the 318's is the Onan engine, if it was well maintained and has below 2000 hrs $200 is a steal. If the engine is shot you can drop a new Honda, Predator, or Kohler V twin in it, repair what needs fixed and have a very well made machine.

Ok, I picked this tractor last Friday. I'm gonna try to start a thread on it. I'll have some pics there. Trying to figure out a firing problem. Oh yeah I got it for $100.
