Oh yea I've had that happen in those tight spots it easy to have something move just a bit and short it out I've slipped a length on shrink tube over the spring to insulate it to help

I opened up the mag off of our styled L and it has a piece of insulating material in that area. I don't know if its OE or not, but it might be in there for this same reason. I'll get a pic of it and post.

Here are the pics of the other mag. You can see some black material where the point spring is screwed down.

Picked up the 2 plows that came with this tractor. There is supposed to be a sickle mower also, but so far, we can find it. I had seen it years ago sitting in my cousin's woodlot, but he said it got moved. Might be buried in the underbrush so I will keep looking.

Went back over to my cousin's and looked in a different area of his woodlot where he has a couple other old mowers. Sure enough, there it was laying in the brush. It's a little rusty, but fixable. There are a few parts missing though I think we can probably make most of what we need. Anyway, I'm glad to have it all in hand now.

Yes, it's on the driveshaft and the tensioner assy is still on the tractor. I see a couple things missing at this point, the lift lever and the safety breakaway bracket. I'll talk with my cousin and see if he recalls whether he got those parts with it or not.

That's a good deal I think the pulleys are hard to find now I can see it looks like a lot of work to install, I'm thinking if guys had another tractor the mower probably got left on
