Long time no post

Hey guys been a while since I been around , still going just life changes . I guess now I'm officially on my way to becoming a farm tractor enthusiast after decades of playing on Bolens I picked up two case tractors to play around with on the mini farm/ homestead I'm hoping to get going down the road
One is a case SC 1945 year and the other is a case 730 comfort king 1968 year
My grandfather had a sc they used on their small farm so always wanted one to bring back memories

Always like the Case SC's Had a chance to pick one up with a wide front end about 5-6 years ago. We looked at it and told the guy we wanted to think about it for a few days. It was gone when we called back.

Nice to hear your doing OK. I've never owned a Case but if there was 2 I'd like to own they were a 730 and a VAC. Hope you get good use out of them.

I too have been messing with GTs less and more with old trucks more lately....

I believe our hobby began back when you could get a GT for little or none. Now every junk tractor owner thinks their pile of metal is an investment.
We need to find something else cheap to play with. Anyone rebuild water heaters?

Never rebuilt one but made the oversized front bucket for my Sears / Roper 18/6 out of one.

Yeah it's sad, the other forums are dying off, next gens. won't likely even bother with the old stuff.

Glad to hear from you Brian and all is well. When I first started was over on GTtalk as a hobby. Now since we have a hobby farm just keeping them functional now is what’s important. I like the old farm tractors but really don’t have a use for one but still might buy one just to have.

When my dad and I started restoring cubs you could buy a complete running tractor with deck for 100-150 bucks….

Last Cub I bought, about 15 to 20 years ago, I paid $125. It was 100% there but not running.

Good luck now. Saw several basket case tractors on marketplace for 700-900 bucks..
