I got a free piece of angle iron today and decided to start on a battery tray. I will also add battery tie downs and in the middle I will weld in a flat piece of steel. It so much more fun fabricating parts instead of buying them.
I got a piece of rubber but I still need the plate for the mounting holesI'll suggest just laying a piece of old conveyor belting in and forget the flat plate.

I'm going to give that a try on the inside of the tray. Should I prime it first ?I put Flex-Seal on my battery trays!
