Mig welder liner

Got a question about a different setup on my miller mig machine
I have run mostly 0.35 wire, occasionally 0.030 in it since I bought it new.
I have 2 spools of 0.023" wire here, I have some automotive sheet metal I need to weld up,
So I want to run some of the 0.023 for that job.
I know I need 0.023 contact tips but am I also gonna have to change out the liner as well to run that much thinner material?

You will have to flip your wire roller..usually one side is for .06 and other side ,08… if you have trouble with wire feed it’s usually too much or too little tension on the wire roller or wire spool. .23 is preferred for sheet metal.
Ive run the same liner 25 years in my machine.. mostly .035 but also .030 and .023

Ill update on this topic,,,my mig started giving me trouble,,checked everything..its having trouble feeding wire so as a last resort Ive ordered a new liner so while im waiting on it to arrive I’ll just watch the guy next to me on the river who is pulling in rainbow trout one after another…3 in 20 minutes to my NONE

Ok kids. Installed mig liner and feeds but no arc. I have no recollection of disconnecting this cable. Shocking in know
It is this one here
I assume it connects to one of those bolts on first pic. Any opinions or should we take a vote? Top bolt or bottom bolt?
TIA. Air Liquide M130. Can’t find any pics of the inside of one of these units

yes the unhooked is for changing polarity. Just not sure. I thinks it goes on bottom post, just not sure
From the photos it's hard to tell. But it looks like there are instructions on that yellow tag by your finger. Do you have the instruction manual? Is there one on line? From what I can make out it looks like it's used to change polarity.

That's an OLD brand... Wow.
Within the next week I will be ready to swap the 0.035 that's currently loaded for 0.023. Need to remember to pick up some contact tips to match. I have a partial floor pan to cut out and replace. Not for rust but I have to replace the transmission tunnel in my truck cab, cut out the small one used in 2wd automatic transmission trucks and replace it with the bigger one used with 4wd and/or granny gear "stick" transmissions.
Gonna be getting the cab home right after memorial day, and have the replacement trans tunnel here.

Next project for the welder is to get a tank of argon and put the spool gun in that I got for Christmas and try my hand at aluminum repairs.
Think I may be having an aluminum boat coming my way/ (not mine) fortunately all that would need filled is up high, holes left from probably many years of different accessories/lights/ possibly brackets from a top that someone had mounted to the rail towards the back. Probably 8-10, 1/4- 5/16 holes per side. Id thought about putting a backup piece of aluminum in from the back side underneath the rail and maybe filling them with something like JB weld.. it's not structural in this area .. I've never TIG welded and have never used a spoolgun before either. Gonna have to burn some wire on some scrap before I try this .

So,,i connected to lower stud and wire wouldn’t feed,,connected to top stud and wire feeds but still no arc…in fact it feeds very smooth,,it needed the liner but I think its on its way to a shop as seems to be electronic issue .
