What I meant is turning to change direction ie: steering it. What's used to get power to that drive chain and be able to pivot the wheel.Both are recoil, rope start Tecumsehs. The earlier steering wheels were cast aluminum, smaller and mounted more horizontally. There are two chains. One the size of a bicycle chain for steering, the other is heavier, does the pulling and can be seen down at the front wheel. Both are two speed by engaging different belts & pulleys.
