Anybody ever fix one of these. Need ideas. The couplers are worn along with the middle shaft and gear box shafts. If mowing heavy grass around the house, the shafts/couplers slip, then the blades jam up. This deck is timed so the blades don’t hit as they go around. Not offset , one in front of the other a bit, so they don’t hit.
Looking for ideas to fix. Have not checked yet to see if parts available. But when I checked years ago they were expensive. May not be available now ?

If I recall correctly, those were splined.
I have seen a lot of them welded over the years, I have seen a few that are welded on one side and shear pins on the other.

If they aren't wobbled too bad, I would probably pin them. you need to take it apart to change the belt, but there's no reason that it can't be a semi-solid connection.

Yes splined. Couldn’t think of that word. Hehe.

Can’t weld on the gear box side. No room.
They are hardened pieces. So how does one drill them.
If I drilled them, I would offset them like a universal.
