New to us tractor hauler

More done today. Both fender back plates were rotted thru. Spent a few days fixing the driver side. It was the one that was rusted the worst. All that is needed on that one is to weld the seams in and out . The passenger side will get new metal tomorrow.
We have a budget and new fenders at this time was not in that budget.
The wife has the front half primed and painted , so I need to get going so she can paint the rest.
Thanks for looking.
The older I get the longer it takes.

My problem isn't the work, it's finding the time to do projects. I have 4 big ones underway. And all 4 only go along as I can get to them.
In the wings, I have enough hardware to make two trailers. One a garden trailer and the other as a single axle road trailer. Those are delay as the DW says, Why do you need another one. :D

Keep up the good progress Roger. Looks like you are getting into the home stretch now. Your DW helping out is awesome, mine wouldn't even know what to do with a rattle can nor a paint brush.

Making progress after time off for family reunion and seeing other family and traveling to Sault Ste. Marie, MI , so mom could see her son go thru the Soo Locks on Great Lakes Freighter , The Joe L. Block.
In the garage yesterday and today.
Should have all sanding done tomorrow and completely primed for painting on Monday. Then on to welding tail light cans on then wiring and new LED lights all the way around.

Thanks for looking.

Well ... it is finally primed and painted. Wife did it all with brush and mini roller. Ramps will be next.
I have started laying out the wiring and Pex pipe we had left over from another project will be tge conduit for the wires. We will be adding a few new marker lights, and a midship marker turn signal on each side just in front of the fenders. Son also wanted backup lights and a couple of work lights on the front.
More later. Big difference.
Thanks for looking.

Well, we have lights. Just finished wiring it. Have some wires to tie up and tidy up, but for tge most part it is wired.
Now we have to weld on the tail light cans so lights can be mounted. Once that is done off to the old Home Depot to get ground contact decking.
Thanks for looking.
Pictures a little later.

Will do a video after we get the tail lights on.
The wires yet uncovered will get a sheath around them and the holes in junction box will get some all weather caulk.

Well it's nearly done. Welded the taillights on today.
Now, I'm not a welder, nor did I play one on TV, and it has been years since I stayed at a Holiday Inn, and my welding shows. Tomorrow we will finish wiring taillights, running lights , and licenses late light. Got them primed and painted but no pictures of them painted.
More pictures tomorrow after they are wired and on.
Then it's off to get the decking.
Thanks for looking.
