One of a Kind

'57 Chevy Bel Air Limo! That is cool, Roger! There was one around here BUT it wasn't a '57 Chevy at all. Someone had taken a Cadillac Limo and grafted a '57 front clip and rear clip to it. The one you pictured appears to be all '57 metal modified with a lot of skill.

When I was living in El Paso back in 1980, I was driving a 56 Chevy wagon, and I always looked at the used car lots for others. One day I found an airport wagon that someone had dug up somewhere. It was a 56 wagon with 4 doors, on each side! I wanted to buy that so bad but at the time I was making minimum wage, so it was the one that got away. I've never seen another one since.
I did look it over really good though. It had an extra beam welded to the bottom of each frame rail that probably added another 500 lbs to it.
I've not seen one made into a limo before, but that's a great idea. Not something you'd likely see again.
