Poking some holes in the lawn. Aerate the lawn today I’m not sure if it helps any but it got me up playing with the 1655. Worth it or not does it work? Fall or spring? comments welcome.
I built it last year, mostly scrape steel hence if you look close you’ll see the cross pipe and c channel were pieced together. Didn’t worry about buying new for something used once or twice a yearNice aerator and tractor, is the poker factory built or do you make it I've never seen one like it but I like it, its one thing I've never done but have thought about
Plug type is better of course because it doesn’t compress but the 5/8” round stock was left over plus the spoons are expensive and leave the plugs which looks like dog poo in the yard lol.Must help some or they wouldn't make them commercially. Plus seat time is good!
No problem & thanks Doug. That's what the forums are all about. I wish more people would use them. It's too bad the other forums are dying off. They aerate the lawn at the office building at work (a contractor comes in) and the first time I ever saw those plugs, dog poo is what I thought of too! No need to aerate the hay around our house but your build looks really nice! I'm sure when you get moisture it will help get the water down in the sod too!
I learn a lot with these posts from you since I'm working on a tractor that has some similarities, thanks for the pics and post, Jason!
