New to me toy, didn’t want a two post hoist in the way when I wasn’t using it and the two feet is ample for undercoating, tire oil changes etc

We picked up a quickjack BL-7000-SLX a little over a year ago. Only used it a couple times so far but it works great. Did the front brakes on my ranger. Next will be a clutch replacement. Would love a 2-post or 4-post lift but that isn't in the budget and don't have the room at this point.

Yup same one's but I never tried it yet, going to make the extenders too. Why the OSB there if you're not on the top latch? Just curious.
It's been a while since I had it on the lift but as I recall there was a bolt sticking down where the pad was sitting on the back and the front has a turned down lip on the frame. This just made a wider flat area and kept the bolt from stabbing into the rubber lift pads. I'll have to take a look at the Ranger again and see if it will jog my memory.

I though these lifts might work for the lawn and garden tractors also. Get them up in the air to work on them. I thought of making a platform to put on top or some cross bars that the tires could rest in between.

Only thing I wonder about just looking at them is side stability. Lot of weight to be stabilized side to side. Has to be OK or they couldn't sell them.
I shoved on my truck pretty hard, and it was quite stable. You want to be sure you're on a clean, flat surface. Some people use jack stands in conjunction with the lift for added safety.

Ouch....$1815 to $2100. I gave $2100 for my 11,000lb 2 post lift, but then that was 7 years ago and things have skyrocketed in price. But as said, these work great when limited space is a factor! Looks like they work great! And just scoot them closer for GT's!

Ours was half that amount a couple years ago. The 2-post lifts need a thick concrete base to bolt them down to. In our shop the floor would have to be cut out, dug down, and a thicker slab poured.

I have a thick slab but I don't use it every day so a two post would be in the way most times. Like Daniel said, I'll be making a checker plate adapter to use for tractors & motorbikes (I'll be selling my current bike hoist.) I paid $2185 Canadian (taxes in shipped to my door. ($1626 US) from Costco. To but and ship from Quickjack was 2700ish and tax lol. I could've gotten an old in ground hoist for free, but here they aren't legal to install anywhere new (grandfathered in if already installed). I could install it and say it was there since I built the shop in 2001 but once again its stuck in the way. My main shop is on 24'x30'. Even the 7" SUV/truck adapter kit was close to 500 Canadian lol. I made 7" ones out of 3" schedule 80 pipe for free lol, a little robust but when your under it, there's no such thing. Theirs are in two pieces for 2 heights but if I feel I need the shorter ones, I'll make another set. They also sell an adjustable set with acne rod, maybe I'll make those instead. I may make the cross adapter for the front as well, it's 2" c channel basically. (casters in the pic are to slide it under the vehicle then removed.) Lift height is 17-18" but that's plenty to to most things. I prefer to undercoat laying on my creeper with a headrest than slightly bending under a hoist, it's actually easier on my back lol. That's one of the main reasons I got it, it's self locking like a hoist & it won't be long paying for itsself. Tools are one thing I don't ever worry about purchasing, they pay for themselves. I could say my undercoating already paid for it.

Made up 7 1/2 fixed adapters. Figured I’d spray them with a couple of good coats of rocker guard. It’ll make them more slip resistant probably add rubber pads to the top. I think I’m going to put conveyor belt in the four pockets on the top of the jacks. It’s very grippy when it’s dry, that way each different type of block will sit on top of it.

Made up a wall hanger for the jacks and the cross member (left space to the right for now) with a top shelf for adapters. I going to make a smaller one under the window to the left and put the hydraulic unit on top and the hoses under it.

I actually sold my bike hoist yesterday as well for almost what I bought it on sale for a few years ago due to the stupidity of COVID (not complaining in this case lol). I’m going to make the tractor er I mean…. ATV/motorcycle top plate, that way I’m covered for everything. Hopefully checker plate isn’t too foolishly priced.

I made a little frame and added 2” casters to the hydraulic unit so it can be easily moved around the floor when in use. I’m making a 40” shelf below the window in the previous pic to hold it when not in use and the hoses as well.

Got the shelf thrown up just have to add piece of rubber belt to the inside. Gives me some extra hooks for hoses etc. and I’ll probably move the adaptors down onto it. Just took a piece of steel from an oil tank side and cut out the corners, bent it up and welded corners.
