quite a HP difference----

---- between the 5HP B&S on the MTD chipper and it's replacement engine. I've been chipping some limbs for a friend and it seems to not bog down the way it used to. Did some research and found the 250 cc 1150 series is rated at about 8-9 HP.

That's kind of like my JD265. Came with a 17 HP Kawi. That had a rod knock, so I put a Kohler 25 HP twin in it. Hell of a mower now!

I once put a 18hp Briggs opposed twin onto a bunton 48" walk behind, got it with no engine. Was rumored to have had a vertical cast iron 10 hp Tecumseh on it originally.
With that opposed twin on there, it would go thru just about anything without hardly bogging down at all.
