Local mower shop texted me about a Wheel Horse. Don’t need or have room for another tractor at this time. Went to see it.
A Wheel Horse 312-8. Decent shape but very dusty from sitting in a barn. Had a snow plow mounted, tire chains, and large wheel weights. Also had a 42” mower deck with the mule drive. They wanted too much money for my tastes. Suggested they call “Chuck”, a friend.
Chuck showed up but didn’t want everything. He was mostly interested in just the tractor. Chuck was about to walk away when I told the shop owner to let Chuck and I talk about it.
Ended up Chuck bought everything. Then stopped by my shop on his way home. I bought the weights, snow blade/with mounting brackets, and the mower deck/mule drive. He offered them to me at a decent price and was happy to take home just the tractor.
Weights are heavy. 4” thick. Deck is super quiet when spun over with a drill. Plow is in very good shape.
I have been looking for a 42” deck for my Wheel Horse c141 that I put the Briggs twin into. 48” and larger decks don’t fit in 3 places in my yard.
