I have a 1972 Sears that's in pretty bad condition. I had the carb rebuilt but managed to strip the main jet out. Is there a way to fix this or does anyone know where I can just get a reproduction. I dont want to change it out but at this point i just want to get it running.

A. There is some cheap china repos on evilbay/Amazon, but I hear they are hit and miss.
B. Brian from Bolens parts and supplies ( Bolens 1000 here on the site) sells new Tec carbs.
C. Convert over to a Kohler carb from a K181 ( 8 hp) they are usually jetted close to the LME Walbro for the Tecs.
D. Contact Mark at www.carbrescue.com and see if he can fix it for you.

I had a terrible time trying to find an LME carb for my suburban. I gave up and put a regular Tecumseh carb off an HM100 on it. It ran fine. Then I worked on the lme some more and got it fixed.

Anyway not much help with the stripped threads but you have options
