simplicity walk behind id help

picked this up today, I bought it for the tires and engine, curious what it is? I will part it out
the hubs and trans gears work. handle is broke, missing the control rods.

From what I can see, it looks a lot like my Montgomery Wards Hoe-Trac. Which is the same as a Simplicity L. Early 50's. Rick

Have not seen any like that on my walk behind Simplicity's. That probably makes it older than the L's and M's. You may be right on the Model B. What is the engine you salvaged from it?

OK, now it looks a lot different than mine.
Do the ratchet assemblies work ok? The springs in mine are broke. if you are parting those I would be interested. Rick

if anyone wants this let me know it's free just have to pick it up, should be a fairly easy restore needs rims tires, engine and control rods, the hubs are in great shape!
