If the soil is damp and sticky, it will bog a little. But generally it's good. I figure the gear tractor is better for tilling, constant slow speed in low year.
tillers themselves dont use up alot of HP, probably less than a 42" mower deck ... and probably even less than the hydro pump on your 165 ... hydro's are nicer to operate but they are not nearly as effecient as the 2300 ... you should try swapping the tiller onto your 100 Noel ... Im pretty sure you would be pleasantly impressed
Got the tiller on. Jumpins what a thing to work on. 2 1/2 hours. Any way, goin to test it out this afternoon. I’m reasonably sure it will work fine. Nice thing about the LGT 165 is it’s hydraulic lift. !
So tiller worked great, but a belt broke and I was almost done. Had a spare belt under the seat, put that on and away I went, finished the tilling. Spread out the plies of manure with the Ferguson tractor.
