Hi Noel The rule is you leave no soil unturned .You throw it out it is judged ,then you throw it back in again this is called the feering in Scotland then you are judged againWhat is the crown called. Took me a second to figure out how you did that.

Normally we have to thank the local farmers allowing us to take part in competitions then it is usually ploughed again by their ploughs ready for winter barley or wheat.I am lucky my friend is a farmer and this year he is allowing me to practice for any local matchesView attachment 60939
That's what it was called here in my areaWhen we threw two furrows together from each side it was a back furrow. The open furrow at the end was a dead furrow as it was not touched or used again.
