Hi all well here in west central MN they are forecasting about 12" of snow starting this afternoon and all day tomorrow so if that happens and the radar shows its moving close to us now the PK 1620 with the plow blade will get a workout along with the GT5000 and 42" blower so tomorrow morning it will be long johns and the bomber cap with ear laps down.

Only the tough survive in Minnesota. The tougher you are the farther north you live. You eat some Lutefisk and you could care less how cold it is. Those people are noted for loving the stuff. See below.

What in the Heck Is a Lutefisk, and Why Do Minnesotans Eat It?

Being of half Scandinavian decent I have heard many stories of Lutefisk, but have never tried it myself. Don't know that I want too either.

I was traveling thru Poulsbo, Washington years ago which is known as a Scandinavian town and at a small store I saw a reader board that said "Just in, Lutefisk TV dinners". Now that sounds like a treat.

GB, I guess I need to ship my blower rig to your place to be test run after the repaint.

Hey cjet I was thinking that also could maybe give it a good checkout and see if that shinny new paint is good or notTV dinn

I remember when those Lutefisk TV dinners came out they didn't last long here in MN
Hey Chris what are you getting for snow I just checked not all that much here yet there is a small drift between the house and garage but the sidewalk is bare close to the house

I was in a lutefisk eating contest once. Hate lutefisk? It doesn't have that much personality. Bland, tasteless, tough, chewy goodness. But, getcha' some romegroot and you'll have something to talk about.

The Colorado Low is hitting us for the next 24 hours. We have about 8" snow already. I drove back from west and only met 7 other big trucks over 200 miles so I'm thinking conditions must be much worse to our east. Glad i don't have to go back out tonight.:)

Weird snow this storm. Started out with probably 4 inches of heavy snow. Then freezing rain and now it fine powder and the wind is picking up. Grandson came over with the 4 wheeler this morning and used the shop to tighten up his plow. I pulled the snow blower tractor out so he could work and decided to blow the drive way open before his tracks froze into ice ruts. I suppose the driveway is 150 ft long but the blower handled it well and it only took about 15 minutes. Last time checked it was 18 degs. out.

My oldest daughter lives in Western Kansas. This morning they had visibility down to 200 yards. She works for the county out there so I know she was clearing roads all day! That is flat ground out there, snow flakes can blow for miles!
