Bush hog of some type. Engine mounts on center. Drives the blade and the gear box drives the wheels. That’s my guess.

Looks like a version of the Toro Whirlwind, built in the 50's.

I had a similar model built by Devore Locke which some tell me was made by Toro.

Looks much like the old "Whirlaway" I used to have. It was thrown in on a purchase I made, and too far gone to restore. Whirlaway may have been bought out by Toro, as the name is so very similar.
