Who do you trust?

was there an A" shipping and a "B" shipping? Often the parts you order come from different places

This is what you gotta watch with RockAuto when you place order for numerous parts and they may all come from different warehouses which really jacks up shipping costs. The shipping cost can make you move on to another seller.
Other than Rockauto i also use Amazon cuz like everything you have to shop and compare prices. Our local auto recycling yard sells new parts and recently learned their prices are comparable to RockAuto on many items.

I am going through this right now with some electronics I ordered.

It was scheduled to be delivered on the 4th. Didn't show up. Checked tracking, it just says "your delivery date has changed" shows the package on the way from IL to Ohio. Now it shows it going from IL to Ohio and now to Montana! I have no idea what's going on with it. Says it will be delivered the 10th. I've spoke with the shipper and they said they wont' do anything until its officially marked lost. I've already been in contact with my credit card company, and I will put a stop payment on it if the package isn't here on Friday.

I use Amazon as much as possible. Most of the time the part price doesn't make up the difference in the free shipping. That is a big deal in this day and age. Now and then a shipper on ebay has free shipping to be competitive with them but Amazon almost always computes to be a better deal.

I did use Rock Auto quite a bit years ago, but that shipping deal turned me off on them.

I still use rock auto a bunch. I am careful what I order as far as the shipping and "order ahead" a bunch to take advantage of getting all I can get from one shipping outlet.
What gets me is how sometimes when you get the symbol that a part comes from the same place as what you already have in your cart when you add it then mysteriously something that originally showed as coming out of the same place, suddenly shows as coming from a different outlet so they can get me for shipping twice or even 3 different places. Often even with the extra shipping costs it's still cheaper than local sometimes but half or more
