Today was the first car show of the year, and WAS a good day with some sun…. UNTIL about 1 o’clock when it started to sprinkle. It was held by the Connecticut Street Rod Association (or CSRA) at their clubhouse, who always put on a great show. The National Street Rod Association (or NSRA) was also there to do safety inspections on cars. I figured I would share the few pictures that I took…..

Hi Everyone,

Its that time of the year again…. car show season! I went to one today in Massachusetts that was put on by the Mopar club I belong to. There was about 100 or so cars, but it was windy and a little cloudy so I think thats what kept the car count down. We went in my stepdads orange 1970 Fury III hardtop…..

Looks like a great show, Eric! When the local Mopar club hosts a show here, it better be Mopar or they send you away! They didn't want to accept my brother in law's Chop top '47 Plymouth since it has a big block Chevy in it but they allowed it if the hood stayed shut---LOL! He takes his '66 Fury III now.

Hope you post some pics from that show, Bill! Micky Dolenz looks in pretty good shape yet considering all the rest of the Monkee's are dead!

Oh this is the big one. That hurts Doug, thats blasp”HEMI” (pun intended) with the Chebby motor in a Mopar. I can see where the club is coming from Doug, I don’t necessarily agree with it but that is considered hotrodding and at least its faster that a furd motor ha ha. Does your local club put on a show at a local Mopar dealership? Ours does thats why I ask. Thats the difference between “your” club and our club, our club excepts Ford and Chebby “brand x” cars.

Mike Finnegan made a blasphemi!

Really neat car. Back when road kill was still a decent show and motor trend tv didn’t suck…he built this car. Still has it as far as I know.

Yes I know the car well, I love it and its very cool. You would of never thought to put a Mopar motor in a Chevy so thats why I love it, its creative and an outside of the box idea. And that the tri 5s are great lookin cars. He does still have it according to his latest video with David Frieburger, he said he got the front clip off of Alex Taylor from Hotrod Garage. By the way Aaron, that was kinda my point of the whole Blasp HEMI pun.

He bought the '47 half done with the 454 and TH400 in it already. Just finished it as is. Yes, the Mopar club does the show at a local dealership.
A big ol C-body huh Doug? You know we got plenty of those, so you know I’m curious now. Please tell more.
I don't know one body from another with that letter designation, but yes must be a similar platform as yours. Here are a couple of pictures.

That Fury belonged to his dad. Dad died about 30 years ago and he bought the car from his mom. He repaired the rust, rebuilt all the dings and scratches in the chrome, and painted it of course. Also hopped up the 318 poly from a 2 barrel to 4. Think he put headers on too but can't remember for sure. Inside it's an old man's ride. Bench seat with a 3 on the tree.

This is the blas"hemi" 47.
