We had it into stuff today that a garden tractor would never move. Old frozen snow that’s been there for a week and a half.

Nothing like the lugging power and fuel economy of a Diesel.
The stuff is now a $1.30 a gallon more than Gasoline but I'm not getting rid of my tractors.

Diesel is about US $1.72 more a US gallon here than gasoline. If I did all my conversions right. Hehe. I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I’ve always wanted a diesel tractor. When my daughter and I were at the mall they had kubota sun compacts on display. My youngest sat on it and said dad we need this! I thought to myself. Don’t tempt me….

I have a lot of work to do this summer that will require the rental of a hoe and a skid steer. I am going to get some quotes and see if it’s cost effective to just buy a used sub compact with what I need or just to rent one.

Right now it’s looking like the 2 weeks I need the equipment for would pay for 3/4s of a used tractor…

But on the flip side I have a good friend with a mini hoe and an skid steer that works for diesel and beer….! But I dislike asking for help

I know the feeling and it gets worse if their equipment breaks down while they are helping you out.

Japan diesels of the 70s 80s and 90s are really good fuel misers. Lots of power at minimal fuel consumption. When diesel hit over $5 a gallon, I still wasn't too worried because the Yanmar diesel still could our run a tank of fuel over any gasser to still be ahead on over tank fuel cost and run hours.

I can't do the beer, but I did a 2 hour job for just 5-gallons of diesel and another for 3 bottles of good red wine from their vineyard. He's the neighbor who now has the Ford 1500 Shibarua diesel tractor.

Its a nice looking tractor Noel I like it snowblower and cab, I've been thinking about a compact tractor this year also something like that with cab and front snowblower my neck is to old and stiff for a 3 pt blower, was just looking thru CL etc and found a interesting Kubota B2400 but no can or blower just a mid mt deck close to me reasonably price (I think)

Showed picture to a buddie of mine who I go to the plow match with. He says that the cab on this Ford is a Laurin built cab made in Quebec, Canada. He said he use to install those brand cabs on John Deere tractors years ago.
