Classic Rides

I like the fact that it still has a flathead in it, not a small block Chevy or worse an LS. That seems like the thing these days "stick an L series engine in EVERYTHING even if it's not remotely close to a GM chassis.... I get so tired of seeing that.
I get the thing about putting a newer engine in an older chassis, even. But not the cross breeding crap.
DT, I agree, repowering is a good thing to do sometimes, like cvans is doing to June Bug, just not viable to redo that straight 8.
I'm a big fan of most breeds of Trucks but dont crossbreed them.

As you can see I'm not brand specific, I like them all.

If you know me, you know I'm a car guy BUT a diehard Mopar enthusiast. This is my stepdads newest car, and his dream car. It is a 1969 Charger 383 in T5 Copper with a tan vinyl top. He bought it from Canada in November 2022 and was meticulously rotisserie restored back in 2005. It was my stepdads dream car because he had one back in the late 1980s early 1990s but it got wrecked by a deer hitting it, and he's wanted another ever since.

Here is my stepdads OTHER Charger, a 1966 model with a 383 full length console power windows and air conditioning. The car was bought new out of Santa Monica, CA on Jan 7, 1966. It was sitting in the previous owners garage and had not run since 1987. It is currently white with red interior but the plan is to eventually paint it silver and keep the red interior, and make it look like the 1966 Charger advertisement but with a little twist. He bought this car in 2015, and his first car was a silver 1966 charger with a 318 but he never got it running and sold it so you could say this was another dream car of his.

Here is another one of my stepdads many cars, which by the way he has 12 of em. This car is rare in itself, and my hands-down favorite out of all the ones we got. It is a 1970 Plymouth Sport Fury S/23 with a 4bbl 383, ONLY 689 of them were built and for one year only. The car was bought by my stepdad in 1983 from an elderly couple. It was featured in a magazine 30 years ago in 1992 and restored 3 times one of which was last year. The car has won many prestigious awards including a President's Pick, many 1st places, a Top 50, a Top 10, and most recently Favorite Mopar.

Beauty! I don't know if I've ever seen that colour combination before.

I really like the wheels and meaty rubber on it too. I hate those big wheels with low profile tires that you see on a lot of older cars now.
