Le roi two cylinder

The Zenith number should be stamped on a flat on the carb. I don't know it off the top of my head. The plugs are 7/8 thread. About any would work. You can buy Champion 3X at O'Reillys. They were the original equipment in the Model A Ford and the same size and look. There is also a modern Autolite that would work. I have better luck with the old stock than the modern ones.

Does anyone have a source for a basic kit for the carburetor on this engine, or am I gonna have to make gaskets? Want to get back on this engine.

Thanks for the info, think I'll probably replace the eisemann mag with a wico, probably a c series.
Details on that? If I ever get back to that New Way, I'll need to do something for spark and it almost seems wrong to do it with a coil.

From the way you described the ignition on that one, you would need to make some modifications to use a magneto.

You might try this place. McDonald Carb & Ignition - Parts and remanufacturing for Carburetors, Magnetos, Distributors, Generators, Starters, Alternators, and more! I just made the gaskets for mine. Be careful taking the airhorn off. There is a removable venturi between the halves that is made of pot metal and prone to crumbling. Might be better to leave it together if possible. Just take the float bowl cover off and clean it. Spray in the passages and see if they are clear.
Thanks, I may just do that, what material would you use for a float bowl gasket?

Regular gasket material will work. If the float is adjusted right, the gas shouldn't be that high anyway.

The plugs with the hex will just thread out and you can clean the passages. I think the engine is older than 39.
