Larsen did not have a good weekend. Blew that tire Saturday night and Sunday mechanical issues put him in a big hole. The goose won another road race Sunday. Has the road courses mastered but don't do so good on the large ovals. Will see how he does when it come to the playoffs. Lot more take and less give in the playoffs.
Nope the weekend didn't go well for Larson, but in general his sprint car racing has been going good with a couple of big wins in the last month. His cup racing is still in a slump since the Indy 500 weekend. I think SVG will come around on ovals if given the time. As a whole Trackhouse racing isn't up to par so a lot of it may not be his fault.
Had to be in town most of the day today for a couple of doc appointments and pick up stuff at Walmart. Grabbed lunch at Arby's. Forgot a couple things so stopped at Dollar General--- on the way home LOL!
It was too hot to mow when I got home at 3:30 but the MF12G needed some maintenance anyway.
Raised it up with the hoist on the bridge crane.
Got to greasing zirks and the deck rollers. First battery is still going strong on the grease gun.
Did the deck spindles first. I put the grease gun on the vent zirk and the grease came out the top spindle seal on the first one. I have caps on the vent zirks but a senior moment happened. Hope I didn't ruin it. Switched things around and the grease vented just fine. Did the other 2 correctly.
Also did the wheel bearings and front axle spindles. Wasn't going to do the steering box this time as I always seem to draw blood when the 90* adapter lets go pulling on it to get it off in tight quarters. Then I saw this angle doing the front axle.
Just barely enough room for the straight grease nipple!
Brought it back down and checked the engine oil and filled with gas. Hopefully I can mow tomorrow morning before I have to meet up with our son for awhile tomorrow afternoon. Been a week and a half!
