Like Dan and Kenny stated no problem removing the charge pump and housing. Better way to do it. If you damage the hydro shaft you have big problems and $$$$.

I have to agree the seal appears to be installed the wrong way. Another problem I see is there is a very small amount of spline engagement at the Hydro shaft. That bushing should not be there and the splined coupler should be slid on to the hydro shaft at least an inch to save the splines...

I have to agree with Daniel. I would also get that Heet out of there. Alcohol is not good for the rubber seals. Makes them hard and leak.

What so many people make a mistake with the Tecuseh ignition is they apply voltage to the M wire and instanly fry the module. It should only be connected to B- to kill (shutdown) the engine.

This pump will also not allow fuel to flow when off so it will not fill crankcase with fuel should the needle valve start leaking

I use FACET part# 40177N which is a 1-2psi low pressure pump. Not Cheap but work and last. Also easy start up.
