Alice Refinements

Use bushing stock for that tube. It is about 3 times thicker than regular tubing. Weld the flats up and then cut to length. Welding flat to round is about a tricky as welding round butted to round. Anybody know of another Alice around we can get Kenny? He will need another project when this Alice is fixed up the way he wants it. :thumbs:

What I plan to fix it with is at least double the wall that this was.
 
Any way to put a gusset between the two flats off the tube piece? Would take a lot of pressure off the joints, weld and tube.
 
If you take strap/bar stock wide enough to drill a hole in and put the tube through and weld would also be stronger. Then taper it down to cylinder attachment point.
