I don’t know what kind of reels they used but they will pull you! It takes effort to put it outIf you mean the cord, reel Aaron, this one if pretty wimpy. Shouldn't pull the hoist back towards itself.

The air hose reel I have will inflict injuries on a person that doesn't have a good hold on the hose when letting it back in, Aaron---LOL! Effort isn't too bad pulling it out, but it still takes a firm grip.I don’t know what kind of reels they used but they will pull you! It takes effort to put it out
I’m thinking that’s what I need. Before I retired I had readers on the bottom with clear at the top. I could see to make wood cuts then see to walk away without staggering lolI had “occupational “ lenses at work. Reading lens top and bottom. Clear in the middle. Great for working overhead or under a dash.
Certain they could fix you up with a “dual” lens pair of glasses.
I cut a piece or two of the wire insulation and wrap it around the cord where it gets clamped to increase the pressure. Will probably have to just wrap the hoist male end and cord reel female end with electrical tape to keep them from working loose, unless anyone knows another way, besides tying a knot in the cords.

I seen those too lolThose Goodyear Eagles going on your Executive?

I always liked Grainger we had one near by when we lived in Cincinnati.Grainger's Dayton products are usually good stuff. Can't remember ever having to return any of their products because they didn't work right. Not cheap though. Even if you do have an account.
I plan on making a few even shorter, Rog. 6-15' is what I'm going to try.I need as couple 20-25 footers too. I hate to have to take 100' of cord to reach 20 feet. The trip over the excess cord and make a mess out of it.
Sounds like once I get done with all the lasering crap, that's what I will have, readers at the bottom, no prescription on top. I would like some like Marty was talking about with readers top and bottom, but I bet they are big money. Could have used a pair like that today!I’m thinking that’s what I need. I ended up using wire. Story below.I cut a piece or two of the wire insulation and wrap it around the cord where it gets clamped to increase the pressure.
When I first retired I got so frustrated because most of my cords were too long. I went to HF and bought a bag of their male and female ends. I got one of my long cords and made three shorter ones. Now that’s about all I use.
Have you looked at twist lock plugs Doug? Any electrical supply place should have female and male twist lock plugs. The air hose reel I have will inflict injuries on a person that doesn't have a good hold on the hose when letting it back in, Aaron---LOL! Had to do some preparation stuff for a road trip we are going on Thursday the 10th, so still didn't get any work done till mid afternoon.
Pulled the cord out of the reel far as it would go minus one wrap. Cut it off at 11' which is how wide the bridge crane is. Still plenty of cord to use the trouble light. Vise gripped the cord so it didn't take off and unwind inside! I've got a real ratty light I will throw away. Found one good female cord end and put it on. I even remembered to put the sliding ball and the end of the plug on the cord first before screwing the wires into the prongs.

Had to order some more cord ends to get the trouble light going again and build some short cords for around here. got plenty of 50-100 footers but only a couple less than 20 feet which are both in use.

I know what they are, Jake. You must remember if it didn't come from junk I probably won't buy it---LOL! Basically I'm too cheap. The cord ends I have ordered were 5 sets for 20 bucks. Probably can't buy one twist lock set for that.Have you looked at twist lock plugs Doug? Any electrical supply place should have female and male twist lock plugs.
I kinda a figured, but I decided to throw it out here anyway. Thought maybe in the assorted collection of "stuff" you acquired over the years (appliances, generators. trailers, etc), you might have some of those plugs on hand.I know what they are, Jake. I do appreciate the comments from you though!

That was something I never brought home. It was usually one end or the other in the scrap, so never brought any home.I kinda a figured, but I decided to throw it out here anyway. That’s cheaper than HF. The last time I bought them they were a little less than $3. each not a set.I know what they are, Jake. Not only HF but a lot of other places are doing the same thing. What you used to get in pairs are now the same price for a single. Local feed store has gone about the same route. Used to sell their own special feed in 50 lb bags, now it is all 40 lb. Even commercial dog food is mostly 40 lb. bags. Try to handle 40 lbs. of shelled corn in a 50 lb. bag. That’s cheaper than HF. The last time I bought them they were a little less than $3. each not a set.
Had to go get my right eye lasered this afternoon. Still having some trouble seeing! We went to a Mexican restaurant for supper on the way home and it was good! The cord ends were here when we got home. That’s cheaper than HF. The last time I bought them they were a little less than $3. each not a set.
