And more junk.

Still no dove hunting. Was on the internet a lot today trying to find a service "Kit" for the generator in the motorhome. It's looking like I might have to order the air filter, prefilter and oil filter separately. Probably the fuel filter too. What quick searches I did of those part numbers didn't bring up websites I ever heard of before.

The Generac and Gulfstream websites were no help at all. They just want to sell new stuff.

Has anyone ever seen a 4KW Generac Guardian generator like this before?

We got back from Colorado late last night. It was nice being with my sisters again, although the oldest one, 10 years my senior, makes me work while I'm there---LOL! We stay at her place so I guess I need to earn our keep! We couldn't leave until Sunday afternoon as we had to take our daughter to the airport on the way out of town. Our son followed us in his old Traverse so we had wheels while down there besides my sisters car.

The new to us motorhome drove flawlessly and was comfortable to stay in and drive.

My sister has an extra lot that can't have a permanent structure built on it due to it being a right-of-way for a high voltage power line. It is ok to store movable objects on it though. Yes that steel lattice tower is on her other lot.

There is a guy who keeps that lot mowed for her so he can store his pull behind camper there. Can see the top of it on the right.
I hadn't leveled our RV yet when I took the pics.

She has a beautiful little back yard, but hurt her foot mowing just before we got there. On Saturday the 6th I mowed for her again, right before these pics were taken. I like tractors much better than a push mower!

I had to cut a bunch of branches with the cordless pole chainsaw from the leaf tree at the left in this picture. Sorry I forget what kind of tree it is. Explanation after the next pic.

Squirrels are trying to kill this Maple and after she had put down a bunch of prickly stuff to deter them they started jumping from the first tree to the maple. Our daughter and I also put up the white fence around it to try to discourage them. It has spikes sticking out all over it, like the stuff on the ground. She is an animal lover so killing the destructive critters isn't an option for her. They are chewing the bark off the maple!

There will be another post after this one that pertains more to this thread because i had to bring home more junk too!

I didn't haul home too much junk just still more than I had before! We went to HF as I wanted to look at the leveling ramps they have on the website. Nope, out of stock. Just used boards for now. While at HF, I had to get one of those mini tool boxes. The store here always seems to be out of them. I have no damm clue why I wanted it but I have one now. My oldest sis also gave me a '55 GMC 1/24th diecast. It's accuracy isn't the greatest, but still cool to have. That is the color mine probably was at one time.

That mini tool box seems like a nice quality piece, but useful, that is yet to be seen---LOL!

IMG_3213.jpg

The diecast truck has a Chevy engine and dashboard! Maybe it was modeled after the Canadian GMC's at the time!

Then my youngest older sister said her husband went out and bought a new TV for no apparent reason and asked me if I wanted the old one. Of course I couldn't refuse as he would eventually have scrapped it. No remote. Didn't get a before pic of the stand disassembled but that thing was as heavy as the TV! There is a power button on it but no other controls. Fortunately when I turned it on, it said it was on HDMI 1 so I knew which port to plug the Roku stick into! Played some race replays from the weekend.
IMG_3215.jpg

Programed the Roku remote to control the off on and volume easily and then it was time to see if this big one would fit in the hole where the little TV is. Just barely will fit!
IMG_3216.jpg

Put it in place and turned it back on. That stand swivels and tilts.IMG_3217.jpg

Not that anyone would be interested but I still have to brag about that sprint car getting the checkered flag in the last pic. Our friend from here in Rapid City who one the biggest dirt track race in the world in August as a car owner also won another "Crown Jewel" race in Port Royal Pennsylvania Saturday night! It's been 40 years since anyone had won the "Knoxville Nationals" and the "Tuscarora 50", another very high paying sprint car race in the same year.

That is dust on the track making the tv look like it has a bad picture.

It's nice to be home but we may be taking the RV to Alliance, NE Saturday for celebration of life for my x-brother in law. We were very good friends while he was married to Loree's little sister back in the 80's and early 90's. They had a daughter that grew up to be one of the top lawyers in Las Vegas, NV and she has her own firm.

Anyway enough rambling. Better try to do some reading about all you folks.

DAC-sounds like you had a great trip. I did not know Ryan Timms won at Port Royal, he is going to be one to watch the next few years. fI was so glad he won the Knoxville Nationals this year.
Timms really seems to be a cool calm level headed driver at such a young age-19 just a few weeks ago. Even though the car owner, Shane Liebig has some incredible knowledge of setting up a chassis, I'm afraid that he may lose Ryan to a big funded national touring team such as Tony Stewart Racing who let Donny Schatz go right after Knoxville. I'm sure Tony is on the hunt for young talent like he was so many years ago when he hired Donny. His current driver, the Aussie Kerry Madsen is doing a good job but he's getting old and is considered a "temporary" driver. Liebig Motorsports isn't a national touring team and are not "regulars" with the High Limit series or World of Outlaws.

Those are good tool boxes. I have their large base cob and the chest size that fits on top. Both are chuck full and have another 4' out in the bay with test equipment and parts. Not sure but I think Waterloo makes the tool boxes for HF. Have had mine for about 20 years now and no issues what so ever. Wheels will probably have a flat spot on them and won't be able to move it.

I have a red and blue HF mini toolbox. One has tiny tools like ignition wrenches in small drawer and big drawer has all my tubes of gasket sealers in it, and other one has water hose gaskets in small drawer and super glue and epoxy in big drawer. Both tops waiting for assignments.

Doug, Glad you had a safe trip and some good family time. Sounds like your camper did very well on the trip. It’s always ice to have your own space and a set of wheels to get around with.

Thank you, John! Now I have another dumb idea on how to spend more money we don't have. A SxS or golf cart would ride on my trailer nicely---LOL!

Sounds like you two are into the camping life style in good shape.
Thanks, Rog. I have 2 Craftsman roller cabinets that are very old but still work well. Both have top chests too. From what I read on the HF ones, the biggest weak link are the wheels. I considered getting newer ones than the Craftsman's but I have a big sentimental attachment to the oldest one and the newer one is in good shape still. I think the little one will hold some tools to clear out a couple drawers in the roller cabinet top chests. Yeat to be determined.

We camped a lot in our younger days and had pickup toppers, tents and a couple of cabover slide in campers. I wanted something small and esy to drive, but Loree made the final call on buying this one since she is still working. We do like it so far.

Sounds like a good plan, Daniel. I should have gotten 2 as I know there will be a use for them!

Really nice to hear that your RV turned out to be a good purchase. Staying with someone is nice but I still think having your own space to unwind makes a good trip even better.
Welcome home.
I appreciate that Chris. Only thing I have to figure out is internet where there is none and no airwave TV signal. I am so used to going to sleep with a TV on that I'm dependent on it now. Probably will be expensive. Might have to hook a DVD player to the TV.
