Another Case tractor project

Yea I'm sure they were hot but as Doug not too hot so as to burn what was being ironed I would bet that none of the ladies that used those things felt bad when they were replaced with the new fangled electric ones. I remember my Grandma having some around the house used as door stops, I think when rural electricity came in so did the electric irons and electric powered Maytag washing machines, no more mixing gas and oil for the kick start Maytag engine
 
Granny’s used their aprons most of the time instead of oven mittens. My wife has a few of these as collectibles they aren’t that expensive like most other vintage things. Those metal handles that Noel posted that just slip into the iron do stay attached until lifted. Those were hard days back then. Stuff like this makes me appreciate the older folks that are mostly gone now.
