Back in time 1970

Here is what the Chevelle looked like when I got it. Looks bad but wasn't all that bad. Went over the frame and peeled everything to the water pump. Plus, it was only $325. Did all the work myself including paint. I was 18-19 years old and owned and drove it for 15 years until someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse.a1516.jpg

One of those AMC Machines here where I live. This picture about two years ago. Had my sons rambler American out for a drive and stopped to look.

Yeah I would take any of them too, but I'm most familiar with Chevy.

OK I will be "That guy" and hijack the thread!

How about 1970 trucks?

I'm partial, how about you guys?

A buddie of mine has one of those dodge trucks.

I’d take any of those trucks, but the Chev or GMC would be sorta first, but I’d have to really consider the International. Don’t see them around here anymore.

Yeah I looked Chris, I suspected you would take a Dodge, since you have a DeSoto too! My father in law has a mid 70's club cab that he drives all the time. It's beat to he!! and several different colors but that thing keeps on going for him!

It was hard to even find a picture of an original looking Jeep so had to go with one with faded paint!

When I was a kid (early 1960's) my favorite toy was a steel Scout with a removable top and doors. That was to me like Tonka dumptrucks are to younger kids! I had to take it everywhere with us, especially out camping. I remember when the flood hit in 1972, I still had not lost the doors or top!
Dad was an electrician and I remember using electrical tape to hold the doors and top on it when I didn't want them removed---LOL!

This is my dream truck, and I have one even. Just have to get it back on the road again. It's even that shade yellow! It has been in the family 51 years!
