Been working on the Country Squire some

I would say not for sale, but I know its there now, be nice to have. He has the second transmission for it, but i'm not sure why its out. Yes, its local Gary. What hp would it be. Didn't have enough time to give it a good look.

Without seeing more of the tractor/engine its a guess but I'd say a Kohler k321 14 hp the tractor would be approx mid 60's Kohler went to a gear drive starter in about 1969. Interesting that there is one in your area I don't think many were exported to Canada on a FB group there is a fellow from eastern Ont. that just bought a smaller version called a Jim Dandy and he says it hard finding parts, and hard to get them out of the US with this pandemic thing. Is it running and working now or does it need the second transmission installed

It runs and he uses it. I hope to go back and have more time to look and ask questions, someday.

Noel
Hi Noel Ok sounds like he'd just like to have the 2nd transmission only time its really needed is for blowing snow and using the tractor with a tiller keep us posted on when you learn more

Got the lights painted installed and wired they work the switch is old and finicky so I ordered a new switch, put a 45* elbow in the exhaust and a 3" nipple to get it down and not blocking the light

Hi Noel I was curious so I looked at some dealer lists I have and there were several Canadian dealer for the Economy Power King tractor one being in Nova Scotia one in Winnipeg and several in Alberta

Did some more work on the CS previously the lift draw bar had been modified so I decided to return it to OEM this required a bit of torch and grinding work but got it apart got it realigned and welded parts back in place, removed the old paint and painted it looks much better

Worked on the steering column noticed it was installed upside down, so removed it and removed the old paint and discovered why it was installed wrong, I think that some how the steering column and shaft got bent pretty bad and they had straightened both but the shaft was still way off I had gotten it pretty good awhile back, but just noticed that the column (tube) had been welded on the bottom end well after welding it had some rough weld bead inside and wouldn't slide down on the gearbox so they just flipped over. Got the die grinder and managed to grind down the inside enough to get it to slip down on the GB so then painted it and reinstalled it looks good like it should. While I was at it removed the lift hitch assist spring and attaching parts cleaned that up and painted it looks much better also

You’ll soon have her all painted Gary. Looks good. But I was wondering, is there no support on the steering column. It’s clamped on the steering box, but I don’t see any thing else.

Always wondered how ANY of these survived that way.

Making great headway, thanks for the update
Many of the newer models that have the aluminum gearbox have broken where the tube slips into the gb I have made braces / support to sturdy them the one on my 84 is cracked but I have it braced and holding. I've added a step to all of my tractors to assist on getting on and off makes a big difference
